HVAC/R Technician
The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair up to 40 RaceTrac convenience stores in a designated region. This individual is responsible for maintaining Building HVAC, Refrigeration Walk-Ins and reach ins and sealed system repairs on Yogurt Machines, Ice Makers, and Frozen Carbonated Beverage Units. The HVAC/R Technician is also responsible for reporting any maintenance or repair needs found at the location via Service Channel and to their Regional Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Resolves maintenance and service issues at the RaceTrac Store Support Center to ensure full operability with all SSC equipment
- Ensures each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service
- Provides project support to cross-functional departments in various initiatives related to the SSC
- Responds to additional ad hoc maintenance requests communicated from each department as needed
- Has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand and reach while on the job, with no or infrequent breaks
- Conducts routine inspection of facilities to identify and repair deficiencies
- Conducts routine audits of all 3rd party services
- Manages and prioritizes work order requests
Qualifications:
- HVAC, HVAC/R skillset desired
- Universal EPA Certification required
- Ability to work from 6am through 7pm
- Good driving record
- 2+ years work experience preferred
- Minimum 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field
- Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools
- Ability to work in confined spaces and outside conditions
- Ability to use ladders safely
