HVAC Mechanic

Join a dynamic team at a large hospital trauma center in Danville, PA, where your expertise in HVAC systems will be pivotal in ensuring optimal operation and maintenance of critical equipment. As an HVAC mechanic, you will play a vital role in inspecting and performing preventative maintenance on large tonnage central plant equipment, as well as troubleshooting various air distribution systems.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on large tonnage central plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain all types of air distribution systems.
• Change large filters, a task that can be repetitive and time-consuming.
• Respond to service calls and resolve equipment issues efficiently.

Essential Skills:

• HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• HVAC service experience.
• Willingness to obtain EPA certification within 6 months if not already certified.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Residential HVAC experience is considered for candidates with a positive attitude.
• Prefer candidates with an associate's degree or higher.
• Must be humble and solutions-oriented.
• Positive and proactive attitude is essential.

Work Environment:

Work in a very large hospital facility alongside a team of over 40 facilities technicians. The position includes first shift from 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and second shift from 3pm-11:30pm, Monday through Friday. After four months, expect to participate in an on-call rotation.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Danville, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $23.69 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
