About the Role:
As a CBRE People Business Partner, you will assist with the roll-out and communication of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures. This role provides HR support to both union and non-union employee populations, requiring expertise in employee relations, labor relations, and collaborative partnership with diverse stakeholders.
This job is part of the People Strategy and Operations function. They are responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of human resource programs and policies.
What You’ll Do:

Partner with managers and union representatives to identify employment-related risks, support grievance handling, and manage the discovery process of investigations.

Support collective bargaining agreement (CBA) administration, interpretation, and compliance in collaboration with management and union leadership.

Assist with the development of onboarding, career ladders, organizational planning, and performance management initiatives in the organization.

Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and assist with issuing disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling.

Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and begin the discovery process of investigations and grievances.

Manage several HR functions such as employment, labor relations, compensation, etc. for a business unit or line of business.

Conduct training on a variety of topics including performance management, diversity, labor relations, and more.

Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of HR and labor practices across the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.

Work within broad guidelines and policies.

Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate should have 5-8 years of demonstrable experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Strong communication abilities to establish trust and credibility with both management and union representatives.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive approach.
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The maximum salary for the HR/People Business Partner position is $130,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
