Your role

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Generalist to support and coordinate HR initiatives for an assigned business unit. This role plays a key part in driving a high-performance culture by ensuring compliance, consistency, and alignment with company values and policies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong HR knowledge, and delivers strategic and administrative support that makes an impact. This position models and promotes our core values and guiding principles in every interaction.

What are you going to do?

• Serve as a trusted HR point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries related to policies, procedures, benefits, and general employment matters.
• Partner closely with the HR Manager to support employee relations, policy administration, compensation, compliance, and other core HR functions.
• Act as an expert resource for interpreting HR policies, employment law, and compliance practices within the business unit.
• Collaborate with regional HR teams to ensure alignment and consistency in the application of company policies and practices.
• Support full-cycle recruitment and staffing efforts within the business unit, contributing to talent acquisition strategies and onboarding.
• Manage and process new hire documentation, benefits enrollment, and onboarding tasks to ensure a seamless experience for new employees.
• Maintain accurate HR records and generate regular reports related to headcount, turnover, paid time off (PTO), and other workforce metrics.
• Assist in the rollout of compensation and benefit initiatives and support related training and communication efforts.
• Partner with leadership and HR management to resolve employee concerns and foster a positive, productive work environment.
• Lead or support special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 35 years of progressive experience in HR roles with exposure to employee relations, policy interpretation, and generalist responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state labor laws, HR best practices, and HRIS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience in database and records management.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and build relationships across all levels of an organization.

Preferred qualifications

• HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
• Experience supporting logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations environments is a plus.
