Hospital Throughput Coordinator - RN

Description

RN - Hospital Throughput Coordinator at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour shifts. Successful candidates will be a self-motivator with the drive to work to decrease length of stay through working with hospital physicians and nurse leaders.

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Acute Care – Patient Flow Coordinator, facilitates processes daily to expedite patient's movement within the Health Center. In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team and by adhering to patient centered care principles, facilitates movement of patients throughout the organization. Coordinates, prioritizes, and optimizes patient flow activities. Supports and enhances the Nursing Supervisor, RN, and Case Manager responsible for directing and managing the care of the patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year - Charge Nurse or leadership experience and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Experience giving formal presentations to groups of physicians and nurse leaders
• 3+ years RN experience working in a Hospital - Emergency Department preferred
