Hospital Privilege Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Arrange hospital privileges and credentialing for providers according to client's medical staff rules and regulations or bylaws
  • Assist clients in getting all documents needed to process the hospital privilege/credentialing application including verifications of education, work experience, and references prior to the start of an assignment
  • Coordinate with recruiters, provider representatives, and candidates to obtain client's required documentation
  • Responsible for completing all credentialing necessary to privilege providers at worksites
  • Communicate with sales staff on the status and outcome of provider applications
  • Provide direct support when necessary to the Credentialing Manager and other credentialing specialists Display a sense of urgency while remaining organized and paying attention to detail
  • Work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Process a large amount of documentation in a timely and professional manner
  • Prioritize and organize tasks effectively and independently

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications
  • Make decisions with the best interests of our people in mind
  • Participate and share our point of view in an open, honest, respectful manner
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to meet numerous important deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven accuracy with record keeping
  • Ability to work independently
  • 2 years work experience in an administrative and/or customer service position
  • Work experience in the healthcare or staffing industries
  • Working knowledge of healthcare terminology
