PRN Weekend Hospice RN On Call
Seeking a nursing opportunity where you can make a real impact? Interim HealthCare® Hospice is Hiring a compassionate PRN ONCALL Hospice RN for weekend support starting Friday at 5:30pm till Monday at 8:30am. In this role, you’ll be the face of courage and the strong arms of support for patients, and their families need to find comfort and closure during this significant season of life.

Seeking Two Weekends a Month Commitment

As a Hospice Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Provide hospice patient care after-hours, weekday, weekends, and as needs arise for our patients
- Enable patients to spend quality time with loved ones and participating
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, LPN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care.
- Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication and treatments.
- Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies
- Educate family on the patient’s prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals.
- Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family.
A few must-haves for our Hospice ON CALL Registered Nurses:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR certification
- Valid car insurance
- Prior Hospice experience 3+ years
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of Hospice nursing care
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Triaging any emergent needs and collaborating with physicians to provide comfort and quality care to each patient
- Communicating with medical professionals, the hospice team and others
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
- Providing services in accordance with agency policies and regulations that define scope of practice
