Hospice Aide - Certified Nursing Assistant

Are you a compassionate Hospice Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) dedicated to providing exceptional care during life's most critical moments? We are looking for a reliable and empathetic Hospice Aide to join our devoted hospice care team and provide essential personal care and emotional support to patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units.

What You'll Do as a Hospice Aide:

• Deliver direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in the patient's physical or mental condition.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and engage in Quality Improvement (QI) activities.
• Practice infection control and adhere to safety protocols consistently.

About You: Qualifications - What You'll Bring:

• Active CNA license in your state (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six (6) months or more of direct patient care experience (Preferred).
• Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments.
• Show compassion, patience, and an ability to handle emotional situations effectively.
• Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.

Preferred Background (Not Required):

• Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology.
• Prior roles in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes.
• Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support.
