As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

n
• nProvide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.n
n
• nAssist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.n
n
• nHelp with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.n
n
• nProvide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.n
n
• nEnsure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.n
n
• nParticipate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.n
n

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

n
• Certification of training of Home Health Aide (HHA), CNA, STNA registration in Ohio.
n
• 12 months of Hands-on Personal Care in a supervised setting.
n
• Valid Ohio driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
n
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
n
