We're seeking an Essential Skills Teacher to lead a specialized classroom for elementary students, focusing on functional academics, communication, social-emotional development, and independence. You'll work closely with a collaborative team and under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator to deliver individualized instruction and support.

Position Details:

• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Grade Levels: Elementary (Essential Skills Classroom)
• Pay: $46/hour + Full Benefits
• Type: Full-Time
• Start Date: ASAP

What You'll Do:

• Provide individualized instruction in essential academic and life skills
• Support students in communication, behavior regulation, and daily routines
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams
• Develop and implement IEPs and progress monitoring plans
• Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field (preferred)
• Valid Indiana teaching license with special education endorsement (required)
• Experience working with students with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• CPR certification and health screenings (as applicable)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
