HIRING: Quality Control Lab Tech

QA/QC Laboratory Tech Opportunity

The individual in this role will be a vital member and part of the magnet wire testing laboratory as a Quality Control / Assurance Laboratory Tech.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, and performance.
• Provide testing and support for magnet wire products, including metallurgical testing.
• Complete testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.
• Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.
• Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Conduct a range of tests requiring high attention to detail.
• Read, understand, and use detailed instructions; perform testing, enter data, present data, and prepare reports or charts to report test results.
• Utilize chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.
• Assist technicians, engineers, and management in analyzing, solving, and correcting problems.
• Use computer programs, quality systems, and tools. Be highly involved in the quality management system.
• Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to ensure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
• Enter records or write up data for company reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to give and receive information while maintaining positive working relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of computers.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS).
• High attention to detail and organization skills.
• Above average mechanical skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Nice to Have

• 2-3 years of chemistry laboratory experience in chemistry testing, viscosity testing, pH testing, water testing, chemical mixing, quality assurance, wet chemistry, and titration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
