Job Title: GPS Dozer Operator 24-28/hr

Job Description

Join a leading civil site contractor in Charleston as a Heavy Equipment Operator and work on a variety of projects in the local area. Enjoy the benefit of being home every night with minimal travel requirements, as all work is confined to the Greater Charleston Area.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, track hoes, and excavators to perform civil site work.

• Assist with manual labor tasks when not operating equipment, including shoveling, trench work, and loading/unloading supplies.

• Be an integral part of the team, contributing to all aspects of the project to ensure its completion.

• Maintain reliability and punctuality, and foster a positive attitude as part of the crew.

• Submit to mandatory drug testing as part of the employment process.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and graders.

• Experience in fine grading is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with GPS technology is advantageous.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and potential weekends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in earthworks, civil site, and utility construction.

• Proficient in blueprint reading.

• Willingness to engage in general labor tasks as needed.

Work outdoors on civil development sites, adapting to various weather conditions. Safety is prioritized, and employees are expected to perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Be prepared for hot summers and wet, cold winters.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
