Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic with expertise in repairing mobile mining equipment. This role demands a minimum of three years of hands-on experience with various mining equipment, including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements. Prior experience with OEMs and proficiency in hydraulic systems and welding are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mobile mining equipment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Conduct machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements.
• Perform mechanical work on Frac Transmissions, including disassembly and assembly/rebuild.
• Execute welding fabrication using arc welding, metal inert gas welding, and arc gouging.
• Handle hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors with technical expertise.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Utilize technical schematics and blueprints to guide repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety standards.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years repairing mobile mining equipment.
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr equipment.
• Proficiency in hydraulic systems, welding techniques, and mechanical repair.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate a service vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
• Capability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform tasks independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OEM experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency in computer usage and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and a safe working record.
• Maintain a tool inventory sufficient for assigned tasks.

Work Environment

Our work environment includes a 14-7 rotation, with shifts from 6 am to 3 pm. Responsibilities span both indoor and outdoor settings in a shop environment. The role requires the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

This is a Permanent position based out of Braithwaite, Louisiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $100000.00/yr. Direct hire - all company benefits.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Braithwaite, LA.
