The Healthcare Office Professional is vital in delivering patient care in alignment with established protocols and recognized standards, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.
Location (Full-Time Onsite): 3680 NW Samaritan Drive, Third Floor, Corvallis, OR 97330. Travel between multiple locations may be required for coverage.
Schedule: This role requires a commitment to a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm PST as determined by the supervisor upon hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive culture by following the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook, ensuring all interactions reflect our core values.
- Greet patients and assist with phone inquiries, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and payment processing.
- Check in patients, verify demographics and insurance information, and notify clinical staff of arrivals promptly.
- Understand the referral process to support patient navigation.
- Utilize accurate search criteria to maintain quality EHR documentation and avoid duplicates.
- Respond effectively to patients showing signs of acute illness and direct them accordingly.
- Manage provider schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate actively in keeping shared workspaces clean and organized.
- Assist with training and orienting new team members as needed.
- Willingness to work at various locations based on departmental needs.
- Carry out other duties as assigned to support team operations.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
- 1+ years of experience in a service-oriented industry.
- At least 6 months of customer service experience in a professional office environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a call center environment.
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting with responsibilities such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, insurance verification, and record management.
- Experience with electronic health records, particularly EPIC.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and patients.
