Location: Based in Arvada, CO | Supporting Projects in Boulder & Denver Metro

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Hazmat Technician to join our environmental response team. This position involves hands-on work including concrete removal, soil excavation, and hazardous material handling. You'll operate equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and loaders, and perform manual labor when needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable switching between equipment operation and field work, and thrives in dynamic outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental emergency response, site remediation, and fixed facility projects across the Denver Metro area
• Decontaminate equipment and work sites to eliminate hazardous or toxic substances
• Prepare hazardous waste for safe processing and disposal
• Respond to emergency spills and cleanup operations using specialized equipment, including Vac trucks
• Perform hazardous waste cleanup and containment tasks under supervision
• Accurately document daily work, including materials used and equipment operated

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with general labor and outdoor work
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment (e.g., skid steers, mini excavators)
• CDL B license or willingness to obtain one
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma
• 35 years of relevant construction experience

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday schedule
• Daily meet-up at our Arvada shop before traveling to job sites
• Occasional out-of-town travel required (typically a few days at a time)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
