Responsibilities:

The Curator oversees all Life Support operations in the facility, including the care, procurement, maintenance, and well being of exotic life forms.

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all aquatic features, and ensures accuracy in record keeping, disease prevention and treatment of fish.

The Curator will support and train subordinate staff and promote on-going educational programs.

Directs activities concerned with instruction, acquisition, exhibition, safekeeping, research, and public service objectives, and performs in tank diving and keeps weekly dive logs.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate must have some experience using standard laboratory methodology and procedures.

Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are a must.

Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Candidates should possess six months related experience, or one to three years related background in saltwater aquatics.
