Overview

As a Guest Advocate, you will engage with guests to provide exceptional service at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up, while maintaining high standards of quality and store cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Assist guests by addressing needs and solving issues, and be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve concerns.
• Promote and explain benefits, offerings, and services; assist with Target Loyalty program enrollment when needed.
• Scan, bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality.
• Explain and demonstrate features of the Target App (Wallet) and direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; assist with enrollment and use.
• Handle returns following Target policies; collaborate with leaders as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and restock supplies as needed during store hours.
• Operate safely and comply with all safety policies and training; report hazards and take corrective action when possible.
• Support guest services including Order Pick Up (OPU) and Drive-Up (DU) while ensuring compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where relevant).
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

Additional Basics We Expect

• Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and related cash office responsibilities as needed.
• Safely scan, move, and stock merchandise; occasional lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift and work in varying temperatures/humidity in certain duties.
