GSE Operator/Veh MX Attendant

Job Duties: Performs Global Vehicle support services that include arranging transport of equipment in need of maintenance in a timely manner. Retrieves and delivers maintenance and repair parts as needed. Operates and maneuvers ground support vehicles (GSE) in a safe and efficient manner, on FDX non-public ramps property only, including, but not limited to, loaders, deicers, cargo tugs, belt loaders, yard tractor-trailer, pushback tugs and non-powered equipment in a wide variety of weather conditions. Clerical/office administrative duties including typing and completing delivery logs, asset history filing and data entry. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D.

Minimum Experience: Clerical/general office administrative experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to drive a yard tractor-trailer on non-public ramp facility only. Ability to work unsupervised for long periods of time gathering equipment needed for service and doing so in a timely manner. Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrence training as required. Requires successful completion of the FedEx defensive driving program, yard tractor-trailer driving training, airport defensive driving program (if required), and ability to acquire the proper documentation to comply with U.S. Customs and successful background review to comply with SIDA, STA and USPS requirements. Good human relations and communication skills.

Job Conditions: Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. A valid non-restricted driver's license from the state of residence is required. Must maintain an excellent driving record.
