Grinder Operator

We are seeking skilled Grinder Operators to join our team. This role involves the use of grinding equipment to remove excess metal from castings, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Remove excess metal from castings using hand-held or stand grinding equipment.
• De-gate, trim, deburr, scrape, and polish castings to meet quality standards.
• Inspect castings for defects and non-conformance.
• Utilize hand tools such as grinders, hammers, pry-bars, and wrenches.
• Shift hours are from 4 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays offering overtime opportunities.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or general labor environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools including wrenches and hammers.
• Experience with grinders is a major plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a strenuous work environment.
• Comfortable being on feet all day performing manual labor.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Novi, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
