A very successful Ag operation is looking to bring on a Grain Superintendent to oversee a facility in Missouri. This position is with a fantastic company that offers an excellent compensation and full benefit package.

Reports To: Location Manager

Department: Grain Department

EEO Classification: Operative (semi-skilled)

Primary Purpose: Ensure safe and efficient operation of grain elevator equipment and personnel.

General Description: Receive, ship, monitor, blend grain, condition and quality as well as maintain equipment in operational condition while following all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations, Policies and Procedures.

Essential Duties:

1. Ensure safety compliance, through plant inspections, near miss and unsafe condition reporting and direct communication with supervisor in regards to safety.
2. Follow all State and Federal DOT Rules and Regulations.
3. Read, understand, and follow all Policies and Procedures.
4. Comply with all Company, State and Federal Rules, Regulations and Policies.
5. Operate all equipment & vehicles according to companies Policies and Procedures along with local, state and federal laws.
6. Assist and follow preventive maintenance program and document activity.
7. Assist in coordinating inbound grain receiving activities and segregation of grain.
8. Assist in monitoring outside contractors and follow up with documentation.
9. Assist in housekeeping & maintenance of the facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds, and moving snow
10. Assist in monitoring temperature cables, tracking fan usage, monitoring bunker storage (if applicable), monitoring grain dryer output and other location specific duties to ensure exceptional grain inventory quality.
11. Communicate daily, activities and goals, needs and accomplishments with location manager.
12. Location leadership role of grain quality, inventory control and safety compliance initiatives.
13. Maintain and record preventative maintenance and housekeeping records in the appropriate recording system. (Documentation).
14. Maintain facility appearance and operational condition.
15. Understand inventory and measurement procedures.
16. Work the number of hours needed to complete appropriate duties and responsibilities which may involve overtime (early morning and/or late evening) hours.
17. Provide assistance with facility improvements and capital expenditures with location manager and operation manager.
18. Help implement goals for location and self-improvement goals.
19. Courteously and efficiently receive and disburse grain.
20. Operate receiving control room and dryers
21. Perform critical operations to keep facility running safely & efficiently.
22. Maintain the general appearance of the facility to include elevator, grounds, and buildings etc.
23. Ability to work in a grain handling environment.
24. Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment.
25. Ability to load railcars if at a railcar facility.

Other Duties:

1. Able to build morale and group commitments to achieve goals and objectives.
2. Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
3. Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
4. Provide courteous customer service.
5. Report even minor injuries using the employee injury report form.
6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications: (Licenses can be obtained after hired)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years' grain experience preferred
• Self-motivated, ambitious and able to work under pressure
• Strong work ethic, problem solving skills and leadership abilities
• Maintenance experience a plus
• The ability to obtain 7C State Grain Fumigation License.
• Reliable vehicle to drive to and from work
• Valid state motor vehicle license
• 20/20 vision in both eyes, with corrective lenses (if applicable)
