Oracle Hardware Development (OHD) creates industry-leading, mission-critical, high-performance cloud servers managed by Oracle ILOM and OpenBMC. Our GPU Platform ILOM team develops advanced embedded firmware solutions for managing GPU-based cloud servers. Join us to work with leading-edge x86, ARM, GPU, and service processor hardware and software, collaborating closely with teams within OHD and across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the delivery and maintenance of BMC solutions for OCI GPU platforms. The ideal candidate is highly technical, hands-on, and has deep expertise in NVIDIA GPU platform bring-up along with a broad understanding of system architecture. In this role, you will oversee a team of specialists and lead the architecture and development of manageability software based on Oracle ILOM and OpenBMC for OCI GPU platforms. We seek a self-driven individual who thrives in multitasking environments and is passionate about the latest GPU technologies.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:

Architect, develop, and deliver BMC solutions for next-generation GPU platforms using Oracle ILOM and OpenBMC
-
Maintain and enhance BMC software supporting revenue-generating GPU platforms
-
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers for timely and successful project delivery
-
Collaborate with OCI data center architects to define and scope implementation requirements
-
Drive improvements in manufacturing yield at production sites
-
Work closely with GPU hardware and firmware vendors for integration and support
-
Partner with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to achieve project milestones and delivery dates
Qualifications:
-
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree or PhD preferred
-
10+ years of software development experience in programming languages such as C and Python
-
10+ years of experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems
-
3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, including 2+ years supervising or managing teams

Proven hands-on skills in C and Python programming
-
Hands-on experience with technologies such as PCIe, SPI, I2C/I3C, IPMI, USB, UART, Ethernet controllers, and MCTP
-
Experience with Out-of-Band (OOB) or In-band System Management, with familiarity in standards such as IPMI, KCS, and DMTF standards (PLDM, MCTP, Redfish, PMBus, NVMe, etc.)

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
