Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native solutions.
This role involves providing technical leadership, driving cloud strategy, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Implementation

Design and implement GCP architectures using services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
Lead deployment and migration of workloads to GCP, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Administer and optimize cloud-native applications and environments.

Cloud Strategy & Governance

Define and execute long-term cloud strategies, including migration plans and governance frameworks.
Recommend best practices for cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions.

Security & Compliance

Design and implement IAM policies, firewalls, and other security controls to ensure compliance and data protection.

Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

Optimize GCP services for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Monitor cloud infrastructure and resolve issues proactively.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelorâ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, including 4+ years specifically with GCP.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions.
Experience with application modernization using containers, microservices, and serverless architectures.
Proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, and Dataflow.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
Knowledge of AI/ML services on GCP.
Understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, interconnects).
Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
