Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Positions pattern on glass or measures dimensions and marks cutting lines.

Scribes around pattern or along straightedge.

Breaks away excess glass by hand or with notched tool or glass pinchers.

Smooths and sands rough edges.

Tables large, heavy sheets of glass.

Grinds, polishes, seams, and bevels glass, as directed.

Transports product and helps to unload raw product.

Ensures that equipment used is operable and maintained in working order.

Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures.

Able to work overtime as business needs require.

Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Less than high school education
• Or up to one month related experience or training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read basic instructions and safety information. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills Basic math skills required.

Reasoning - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• Routinely exposed to hazardous noise levels.
