General Production Worker (Slitter)

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the recoil helper and slitting department. The primary responsibilities include assisting machine operators, bundling tubes, and moving materials. This role requires significant physical activity such as bending and moving heavy materials into machines. The position is short-term, lasting 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Assist machine operators with daily tasks.
• Bundle and prepare tubes for processing.
• Move and load heavy materials into machines.
• Cut bands and recoil materials as needed.
• Maintain and clean work areas.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in general production.
• Ability to operate machinery effectively.
• Proficiency with forklift operation.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to perform safety behaviors consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Past experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work on Saturdays as needed.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a manufacturing environment, requiring work around machinery. The first shift runs from 4am to 12:35pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays required. There is also a long-term opportunity available on the second shift.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Vernon, California.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
