Position Overview

The Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson, in collaboration with Banner University Medicine Tucson, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Neurologist to join our esteemed clinical faculty. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive neurological care to a diverse patient population while actively engaging in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows . The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and scholarly activities and to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and advance the departments mission of exceptional patient care, innovative research, and high-quality education. A faculty appointment commensurate with experience and qualifications , with full faculty status at the University of Arizona, will be provided.

Clinical & Academic Environment

The Department of Neurology houses a robust Clinical Research Unit with dedicated personnel and infrastructure to support clinical and translational research . This includes:

• Experienced clinical coordinators and regulatory support staff

• Infrastructure for clinical trials, including industry- and investigator-initiated studies

• Data management and statistical support resources

This environment provides the foundation for meaningful scholarly productivity and access to novel therapeutics and emerging technologies .

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree (or equivalent)

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology

• Eligibility for an Arizona medical license

• Interest in academic teaching and/or clinical research
