General Laborer

The position requires an individual experienced in general labor or construction work with the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. The candidate should be comfortable working outdoors and will be engaged in concrete production tasks.

Responsibilities

1. Learn all skills listed on the Production Worker Skill Sheet.
2. Gather components required for form and layout as directed by the Leadperson.
3. Prepare forms for the day's pour by cleaning, caulking, and oiling.
4. Fabricate steel bars into cages for precast pieces as directed.
5. Properly place components into form at required locations prior to stressing cable.
6. Inspect chuck assemblies for defects and cleanliness, replacing if necessary.
7. Use a tape measure for precision in tasks.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience or construction experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a concrete manufacturing environment, which remains cooler than outdoor conditions. During winter, the facility is heated to maintain a comfortable temperature of 65 degrees. The work schedule starts between 6am and 7am, with flexibility required for end times, which could extend until 5pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
