New Gastroenterology Hospitalist Locums Job in Georgia

Our client in Georgia is searching for a Gastroenterologist to assist with unrestricted call coverage starting in March/April and ongoing. This is a large health system in Georgia, and a client we've partnered with often.

Details/Requirements for Assignment :
- Would need to be available for one full week every month or every other month
- Privileging process can take 4-5 months - it's lengthy but a great health system
- Will have virtual trainings, EPIC EMR training and modules to complete prior to start
- Moderate volume
- Will likely work an 8-hour day Monday through Friday while taking 24-hour call
- Weekends can expect to spend 4 hours on average in the hospital per day
- No scheduled cases on the weekends, but will round, consult and operate as needed.
- ERCP preferred, EUS not required. Will not see any trauma - willing to accept General Gastroenterology candidates
- Coverage is for two hospitals (one hospital is very low volume). The hospitals are 7 minutes away by car.
- Will have block time for Endoscopy during the week. Typically will see 3-4 consults per day on average as well.
- Internal Medicine docs and Residents will help support the locum while on site, and continuing care when locum isn't on site.
- Can expect phone calls in the evenings, but callbacks to the hospital are at a minimum.
