Full-Time Nurse (Multiple Sclerosis Experience)

As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing services within our physician office practice. Your role will include managing patient flow, obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing EKGs, and assisting with various nursing duties as assigned.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities for RN:

• Deliver high-quality general nursing care to patients, including obtaining and documenting vitals (height, weight, BP).
• Assist medical professionals with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Ensure all necessary materials and supplies are available.
• Provide education to patients and their families as needed.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide guidance for treatment-related calls.
• Manage patient appointments based on risk and severity.
• Maintain and review patient charts and records for accuracy.
• Address and resolve patient concerns, implementing necessary changes.
• Uphold high standards of customer satisfaction and service.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively.
• Coordinate with third-party payors for authorizations required for procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care, including obtaining and documenting patient vitals.
• Efficiently room patients and facilitate patient flow.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Document patient history and chief complaints accurately.
• Ensure adequate supplies are maintained at all times.
• Educate patients and families as appropriate.
• Field treatment-related inquiries responsibly.
• Assign appointments based on risk and severity levels.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Foster a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
• Assist in scheduling visits, procedures, and surgeries as required.
• Collaborate with third-party payors for necessary authorizations.
• Support clinical staffing needs across various practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for RN:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
• Preferred experience in a physician office setting.
• One year of clinical nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality policies.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Qualifications for LPN:

• Valid LPN License from Virginia.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
• Preferred experience in a physician office setting.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality policies.
