Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe and professional manner. You will ensure the safety of tools and materials, particularly in patient/resident care areas. You should possess a basic mechanical knowledge and be skilled in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices, and gauges.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is helpful. You will explain conditions accurately while troubleshooting and must prioritize safety and efficiency. You should be able to work flexible hours as needed.

Compliance with corporate and facility policies and a professional dress code is expected. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances is essential.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations, maintaining campus grounds, and performing general duties in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and furniture repair.

On-call duties may also be necessary as directed by the department.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, as is completion of a trade or vocational school program. A minimum of two years' experience in building systems is preferred. Depending on location, a valid driver's license and a good driving record may also be required.
