Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings, under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. You will utilize your nursing knowledge and skills to ensure that residents' physical and psychosocial needs are met according to individual care plans. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documenting resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participating as a member of the interdisciplinary care team to provide holistic care.

You will be equipped to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergencies. This role also involves counseling residents and families regarding prevention and treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Preferred: Associate degree in practical nursing.
• Must hold an unencumbered LPN license and multi-state licensure privileges.
• Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience is required.
• IV therapy management may be required depending on the position.
• Must complete annual continuing education and competency training requirements.
