Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in delivering resident-centered care and daily living support in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will assist with:

• Daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Obtaining and recording vital signs
• Providing psychosocial support and personal care
• Transferring, repositioning, and walking residents using proper techniques
• Food preparation and ensuring a positive dining experience

You will also assist nursing staff with procedures, document resident interactions, and communicate any changes in residents' conditions. Housekeeping and laundry tasks will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum age of 16; prior experience in long-term care preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required with the State Board of Nursing, or you must become state certified within four months

Continuing education is essential, with a minimum of 12 hours required annually. Maintain all necessary certifications as mandated by the department.
