Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000

SUMMARY:

As an Addiction Counselor, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of individuals struggling with chemical dependency. You will conduct addiction assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide both individual and group counseling within a collaborative clinical team, supervised by a psychiatrist.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide comprehensive Substance Use Disorder treatment through engaging individual and group counseling sessions.
• Ensure timely completion of all patient documentation and progress summaries.
• Conduct quality audits of patient records to uphold standards of care.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments to accurately diagnose and determine the appropriate level of care for each client.
• Offer individual, family, and group counseling to effectively motivate clients throughout their treatment journey.
• Create individualized and culturally sensitive treatment plans.
• Communicate with other healthcare providers and referral sources to enrich the understanding of client issues and strengths.
• Engage in professional supervision and educational opportunities to enhance client care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and within required timeframes.
• Meet productivity targets by employing varied techniques to encourage client attendance and reduce missed appointments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of a clinical internship in chemical dependency or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemical dependency or mental health program.
• CASAC or CASAC-T certification permitted, with the requirement that full certification is obtained within 24 months. Alternatively, OASAS QHP (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT, or permit holder).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in a human services field (Associates, Bachelors, or Masters).

MS: Mental Health Counseling, MS: Social Work

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. This role primarily involves sitting, with occasional walking or standing required.

PAY RANGE:

$61,000.00 - $77,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. Pay may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional components. Factors influencing pay include experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
