Frontend Coach (Non-Complex) - WM

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and resolving customer needs and issues. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Drive financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses, ensuring alignment with sales and operational goals.
• Monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes; develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and tracking progress toward results.
• Demonstrate a culture of inclusion and belonging, promote a safe, respectful workplace, and ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
• Support Open Door policies and apply company values and integrity in executing business processes and practices.
• Deliver customer-focused results and embody the Walmart values to serve customers and members while applying EDLP/EDLC principles to plans.
• Lead continuous improvement and adapt to change by embracing new technologies and skills and supporting others through transitions.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
• Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
• General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
