Job Description

As a Fragrance Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fragrance labs. Your responsibilities include compounding fragrance sample back-orders, maintaining inventory of raw materials, and fulfilling sample requests promptly. You will ensure the laboratory is clean and orderly, secure fragrance formula batch sheets, conduct quality control tests, and assist the perfumery staff with general duties. Additionally, you will provide support to the Applications lab when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Compound fragrance sample back-orders.

• Assist in ordering and stocking fragrance labs with raw materials.

• Fulfill sample requests in a timely manner.

• Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory at all times.

• Print and maintain security of all fragrance formula batch sheets.

• Conduct general quality control tests and create paperwork.

• Assist perfumery staff with general compounding duties.

• Provide assistance to the Applications lab if necessary.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year compounding experience.

• Knowledge in chemistry or wet chemistry.

• Understanding of compounding processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Chemistry or Biology degree preferred but not required.

• Product Development internship or Flavors experience.

• Experience in Food Chemistry, Food Science, Food Quality, Testing, Research and Development.

Work Environment

This position operates within a brand new lab as part of the R&D Product Development Team. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northbrook, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
