Job Title: Forklift Operator

Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator working across multiple departments in a distribution center. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment to manage inventory within the facility, including tasks such as case picking, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.

• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.

• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.

• Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets of products.

• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.

• Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.

• Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies.

• Perform inventory control functions as needed.

• Refer complex, unusual problems to a supervisor.

• Exercise some judgment under general supervision in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.

• Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stand-up/reach trucks, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacks is advantageous.

• Ability to work in a warehouse distribution environment.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Work Environment

Work in a large distribution center spanning 500,000 sq ft with 250 associates across different shifts. The warehouse supplies appliances to customers, managing direct and commercial orders. While typically comfortable, the environment involves exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Overtime is available with supervisor approval, and you will work in a setting that requires physical endurance and repetitive movements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
