Forensic Nurse Educator - Hiring Immediately

Join our dedicated team as a Forensic Nurse Educator at UCHealth! We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for education and a background in forensic nursing. You will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical forensic education to healthcare providers across Colorado, including SANE courses, certification reviews, IPV courses, and clinical skills labs.

This role is vital in supporting Colorado providers through preceptorship, telehealth assistance, and the delivery of both live and virtual educational courses. Your contributions will enhance forensic nursing practices and ensure high standards of care across the state.

Schedule: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $37.06 - $57.44/hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate SANE/SAFE curriculum-related instructional programs.
• Develop, implement, and assess educational programs tailored to the needs of the nursing staff.
• Collaborate with managers and staff to identify learning needs and competencies of new hires.
• Serve as a consultant for staff on program development, clinical practice, and professional growth.
• Utilize critical thinking and judgment in a fast-paced environment requiring minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse with SANE-A certification (Sexual Assault Nurse Exam - Adult/Adolescent).
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in forensic nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross, valid by start date.
