Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging. Under the supervision of the Department Manager, you will perform essential radiologic functions to ensure accurate diagnosis and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care

• Confirm patient identity and explain preparation requirements for examinations.
• Assess patient understanding and compliance regarding procedures and safety measures.
• Manage patient comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Document patient consent and medical history accurately.

• Implement protocols to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Employ protective measures and assess risks related to contrast media administration.

• Prepare, operate, and maintain radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment effectively.
• Utilize various imaging technologies, including digital and computerized forms.

• Optimize imaging quality while ensuring safety and comfort for patients.
• Process and evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality.

• Promote a culture of safety by adhering to policies and best practices.
• Participate in training and maintain compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of six months experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid RT Radiography Technology license in Massachusetts or a temporary license.
• Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must be maintained and recorded.
