About the Role

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in performing ultrasounds with professionalism and accuracy. Your responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing cognitive sonographic skills to produce high-quality anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
• Mastering the operation of the ultrasound machine and adapting to new technologies.
• Conducting a range of ultrasound examinations while maintaining ethical working relationships with patients and staff.
• Exhibiting empathy, compassion, and integrity in all interactions.
• Understanding cross-sectional anatomy and employing age-related protocols during testing.
• Coordinating with physicians and healthcare team members to assist during procedures.
• Supervising and mentoring students and junior sonographers as needed.

We value self-motivation and the desire to enhance your understanding of the sonography field. You will also assist in maintaining accreditation requirements and equipment reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience preferred.
• Registration in at least one sonography area required (e.g., RDMS, RVT, or ARRT), with preference for those registered within two years of hiring.
• For work in North Dakota, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is necessary.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six weeks of employment.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required for outreach mobile services.
