The purpose of a Firearms Sales Associate is to provide exceptional customer service and expertise in firearms and related accessories. Your in-depth knowledge of firearms regulations, safety practices, and product features will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

The responsibilities include:

• Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they enter the department.
• Engage customers to understand their specific needs.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all firearms laws and regulations.
• Complete firearm compliance training.
• Assist customers in selecting ammunition and accessories.
• Maintain an organized firearms display area.
• Process transactions accurately.
• Stay updated on firearm trends.
• Address customer concerns promptly.
• Establish long-term relationships with customers.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits.
• Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques.
• Promote exclusive offers and store loyalty programs.
• Process special orders and resolve return issues.
• Contribute to visual merchandising efforts.

Essential qualities for success include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in firearms sales.
• Knowledge of firearms laws.

Physical requirements include:

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Close visual awareness.
• Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack.
