Field Technician

In this role, you will drive to current customer sites to install CO2 monitors. This work involves low voltage tasks akin to installing fire alarms in residential settings. Due to recent regulations on CO2, this position is crucial. You will be responsible for installing monitors directly into systems using CAT 5 cabling.

Responsibilities:

• Visit customer sites to install CO2 monitors.
• Perform light low voltage installations similar to fire alarm setups.
• Use CAT 5 cabling for simple installation tasks.
• Drive own vehicle to customer sites and pick up materials from shop or depot.
• Communicate politely with customers and explain installation processes.
• Document installations using a smartphone, including photos and mileage for expense purposes.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in handling CAT 5 cabling and basic installation tools.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with hand tools and general electrical tasks.
• Minimum of 2 years in light construction, mechanical, or electrical backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation capable of covering 400 miles a week.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in low voltage or light electrical work is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Experience in documenting work using a smartphone.
• Familiarity with using GPS and expense tracking applications.

Work Environment:

Work independently across various customer sites, with minimal supervision. Start your day at the shop before heading out. Shifts generally run from 7 am to 3 pm, with flexibility to start as early as 6:30 am on some days. Be prepared to adapt to different environments and customer needs.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Lakewood, Washington.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
