Physicians Care is seeking compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to enhance our dynamic healthcare team. We are part of Urgent Team, a leading operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, with over 80 locations across Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
About Physicians Care:
Our convenient walk-in centers offer a variety of healthcare services such as treatment of injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Open seven days a week, our fully accredited centers guarantee a commitment to safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
Position Summary:
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Physicians Care, you will be integral in providing top-notch medical care to patients of all ages. Collaborate with a talented team to diagnose, treat, and educate patients on acute and chronic conditions. Our full-time staff works a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts on weekdays and alternating weekends. PRN team members will be scheduled as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering exemplary customer service to patients and coworkers.
- Providing friendly and convenient patient care for all who seek our services.
- Leading and assisting during emergencies while ensuring patient comfort.
- Conducting medical assessments and providing treatment for primary care, urgent care, and occupational health.
- Performing various medical procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, and abscess drainage.
- Establishing and monitoring appropriate levels of care for clinic patients.
- Supporting on-site laboratory and direct access services.
- Maintaining clinical competencies and adhering to medical policies.
- Participating in the development and revision of policies affecting medical practice.
- Contributing to staff education programs and assisting in service development.
Qualifications:
To apply, you should have:
- Provider experience preferred, but we welcome new graduates!
- State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
- Certification as an APRN through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
- DEA license or willingness to acquire it upon hiring.
- BLS certification.
