Family Medicine Physician

Ascension St. John is looking for a family medicine physician for our Riverside Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a light call shared amongst the group. We use Cerner as our EMR system.

This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P).

Responsibilities include providing medical services to patients in an assigned area, evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinating discharge planning with case management, and recommending, participating in, and working to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

Additional responsibilities include accepting patient referrals from other physicians, acting as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, participating in academic programs, providing appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements, and participating in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements include licensure/certification/registration as a Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support is preferred. Education includes Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
