Position Summary
The Translational Development Team within the Neuroscience Thematic Research Center (Neuro TRC) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op to assist with laboratory research projects. The successful candidate will help with experimental studies aimed at understanding disease mechanisms relevant to our portfolio and advancing pharmacodynamic assays for clinical use. The candidate will work with in vivo samples (human, non-human primate, and mouse) and cell culture systems, utilizing immunoassays, cell-based assays, and qPCR techniques.
The full-time internship will take place July December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop immunoassay protocols to examine select proteins in human, NHP, and mouse tissues and biofluids
- Develop cell based readouts for disease relevant pathways
- Document experimental results
- Generate an SOP for methods established
Qualifications & Experience
- Familiarity with the basic principles of cell biology and/or neuroscience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Prior experience with immunoassays, qPCR, cell culture, and in vivo sample preparation is preferred
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism) is preferred
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program. Employment in this role does not imply or guarantee ongoing or permanent employment with BMS.
The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $27.00 to $29.00/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job. Compensation details are subject to change.
