The University of Texas at Tyler School ofMedicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in TheUniversity of Texas System. Construction is currently underway on afive-story, 248,000-square-foot Medical Education Building (MEB) in Tyler’sMidtown District. Connected by a skybridge to UT Health Tyler, the MEB willsupport interdisciplinary education for medical students and resident training.It will also aid as part of a medical education program expansion throughoutthe UT Health East Texas Health System.
