How You Make a Difference

Activity Specialist Creating Joyful, Therapeutic Experiences for Individuals Served

As an Activity Specialist, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of individuals served by planning and leading engaging, therapeutic activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. With creativity and compassion, you'll design meaningful experiences that inspire connection, encourage participation, and bring a sense of purpose and joy to daily lifeall within a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Improving Health and Well-Being: Provides resources and opportunities to improve the health and well-being of individuals served.

• Facilitates Activities: Leads activities in both group and individual settings to engage participants.

• Plans and Organizes Events: Plans and organizes activities and special events, ensuring they are suitable for the occasion and the population.

• Documentation: Completes documentation in the medical record within the specified time frame, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Collaboration with Departments: Works closely with all departments and programs to meet the needs of individuals served.

Additional Details

Shift options: 12pm - 8:30pm - Sunday - Thursday 12pm - 8:30pm - Tuesday - Saturday

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience:

• Preferred: Experience in a mental health setting.
