Expert Designer, Kids Sportswear Apparel Graphic Design

This opportunity involves partnering with Design Leadership and category team members in Design, Development and Merchandising to ensure design feasibility while meeting price points, merchandising needs and product creation timelines, from concepting through to production.

This role requires a high level of passion and creativity, along with the versatility and focus to contribute to graphic direction and strategy through the product creation process. It takes a dedicated leader and teammate that knows how to collaborate and translate sophisticated insights into authentic narratives, while driving design solutions that elevate the future of Nike Kids apparel.

• Bachelors degree in graphic design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
• 8+ years' experience of graphic design, preferably in product (footwear and apparel) creation in-house or at an agency.
• Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities.
• Master visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences.
• Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends, as well as visual culture.
• Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
• Master of graphic craft, typography, graphic applications, prints, processes and tools.
• Strong Adobe CC skills (Illustrator & Photoshop) and comfortable working within new digital spaces.
• Passion for empowering our Athletes* and Kids and making their dreams come true.
• Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.
• Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors.

WHAT YOULL WORK ON

Youll be responsible for creating original and trend-driven designs for Nike Kids Sportswear Apparel. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of graphics and composition, and the ability to translate design concepts into commercially viable on trend designs. The ideal candidate will be a highly creative problem solver who brings engagement and curiosity to the kids apparel graphics.

Concepting and building out narratives that will inspire and influence our consumer. To accomplish this, you will collaborate with your design, development and business partners to ensure all details are recorded and delivered as presented. From trims to print applications and cost considerations you will be challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences. Accountabilities include but are not limited to speaking with athletes, consumers, external partners and contributing to the creative vision of Nike Kids. Leading team meetings and cascading critical information to ensure the project hits all deadlines. Presenting design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences while always keeping to Nike Kids best interests.
