Lead with purposejoin Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA, as the next Executive Director of Surgical Services!

The Position

The Executive Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for all perioperative department operations, strengthening physician relationships, strategy, ensuring optimal performance in alignment along with budget planning with Wellstar Health Systems mission, vision, and goals.

Departmental responsibilities include the Operating Room suites (10 rooms with 2 offsite surgery center), Hybrid Endovascular Suite, Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pre/Post-Op Department, PATT Clinic, Acute Pain Service, and Endoscopy Department.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee managers of various areas (7 managers OR, Sterile Supply, Business Manager, GI, Wound Care, Surgical Services, Peri-Op), and approximately from 150-200 FTES.

This leader will oversee the expansion and growth of the Neuro Endovascular Program and an off-site ASC. Additional responsibilities include redefining and expanding key service line specialties, implementing industry best practices, mentoring staff for succession planning, managing departmental budgets, and enhancing collaboration between physicians and nursing teams.

Seeking a highly visible, strategic leader with deep expertise in surgical services. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, collaborative, and a true team player, with a proven ability to build strong interdepartmental relationships.

This is a fully onsite position with no option for hybrid or remote work.

Requirements

MSN required.

Active RN license required.

A minimum of 10 years of experience as an RN, along with at least five years of progressive leadership experience in a similar setting managing multiple departments, is required.
