Sodexo Education is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to assist with managing a food and nutrition program for Life Schools, a K-12 charter school system that has campuses throughout the Dallas area. Sodexo currently serves breakfast and lunch to approximately 5,000 students daily. The selected candidate will oversee food production and menu/recipe development for the district, while also providing culinary training to our kitchen employees. Food production takes place in a centralized kitchen, our Executive Chef will oversee daily operations and distribution to 7 campuses. Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual that is able to create culinary promotions to further increase student meal purchases. Previous experience in a K-12 environment is preferred but not required.
Implement & coordinate the culinary function.
Direct & train cooks & utility workers.
Ensure food preparation & production meets operational standards.
Manages catering & retail areas.
Customer & client satisfaction.
Manage food and labor costs.
Manage food & physical safety programs.
