Job Overview: DJG Insulation is hiring a detail-oriented Estimator / Take-Off Professional to join our growing Design & Technical team. In this full-time, onsite role, you'll analyze blueprints, calculate material needs, and prepare accurate project bids. You'll work closely with project managers and sales staff to ensure that each project starts with a precise and well-documented scope. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to produce take-offs and estimates.
• Calculate quantities of insulation and other materials needed for various projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales staff to develop cost-effective bids and proposals.
• Prepare and submit detailed estimates and pricing documentation within required deadlines.
• Assist in updating and maintaining a database of pricing, vendor quotes, and material costs.
• Track and organize bid documents, RFIs, and scope of work clarifications.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors for updated pricing and material availability.
• Ensure all estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project goals.
• Assist in value engineering efforts and recommend cost-saving alternatives where appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating, take-offs, or construction-related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with numbers and measurements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize deadlines.
