Equipment Mechanic

As an Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning a variety of equipment for our customers. You will work on different construction equipment such as boom lifts, aerial lifts, rail trucks, and more.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair various equipment.
• Recondition equipment as needed.
• Disassemble units for diagnosis and repair.
• Devise solutions for equipment failures using specification sheets and manuals.
• Clean and degrease parts using appropriate chemicals and cleaning devices.
• Recondition and replace damaged parts, reassemble units using manuals and schematics.

Essential Skills

• High mechanical aptitude.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
• Knowledge of basic hydraulic principles.
• Knowledge of DC current and electronic fundamentals.
• Ability to read and understand assembly manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated sense of urgency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of failure analysis and the use of diagnostic equipment and instrumentation.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 consecutive hours.
• Dexterity and agility sufficient for climbing around equipment, repairing equipment, and driving vehicles with clutch transmission.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fenton, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
